Similan liveaboard 2000During my last liveaboard in February
2000 to the Similans,Koh Bon, Koh Tachei, Koh
Surin until Richelieu Rock I made notices
thus I can now publish my impressions about.
On this way my existing pages get an
update as that here now the present conditions
to visibility, fish - population ,route
process, weather and more are presented.
Course
of the first Similan Trip 2000:
February 14th 2000
08.00 h am East of Eden, (Similan
No.7)
11.00 h am Elephant Head
03.00 h pm Christmas Point (Similan
No.9)
07.00 h pm Donald Duck Bay (Similan
No.8,
Night Dive)
It' beautiful to be back and more beautiful
to state, that the visibility, how
already in
the last year, is in okay again.
Of this first dive day of my holiday
I
remember the many stingrays I saw,
exspeciality blue-spotted sting rays
during the second dive the first white-tipped
reef shark of this liveaboard and during
the third dive a black-spotted stingray
and a clown triggerfish. The visibility ranged
during the first two dives from 25
to 3o m, during the third dive 15m or 10m only. Cold
currents were partial available. It
was relativ dark, because over water clouds drew
up.
During the third dive of this day -
Christmas Point s.u. - we dived again under the
overhang, where you can breathe without
your gear, because there are bubbles of air
below the overhang 25m deep.
The Dive
Asia I (see "tauchen 09/2000" - a german underwater magazine) has the
same
good
crew, I know since 1994,when I
was on my first Similan expedition,
at
that time still on the Choksoda.
Later at this day we get better weather
and it was beautiful like I know it
from
former times in February. Dive Asia
I
goes for the night before anchors in
Donald Duck Bay.
Sea eagle and heron we watched
there by hunting.
By this way, we didn't saw the fishes
I emphasized above only. All tropical
marine life of this area was presented,
I marked this one I remember from my
personality sight and as uw photographer.
February 15th 2000
08.00 h am Koh Bon
11.00 h am Koh Tachei
02.00 h pm Richelieu Rock
05.00 h pm Koh Tarinla (Surin Island)
At the end of this day I noticed again
what I remeber as important or for to be interesting
for other divers who may read this.
Following my personal limit I ended
the dive day after the third dive and write this lines
during the fourth dive.
